About Me
Thank you for dropping in. I am a contemporary Cuban / American artist working in oils and digital imagery. I have been exhibiting my pieces through Art Galleries, Art Festivals and online creative venues for the past 25 years. My brilliant execution of color and design has earned me the respect and admiration of collectors and colleagues alike. I am a published award-winning artist as well as a graphic designer. I am the art director for one of South Florida's premier art and music festival, Carnaval on the Mile.

BIOGRAPHY
Ms. Dania Sierra was born in Havana Cuba and exiled to the United States with her family in 1962.
Ms. Sierra's inclination for art began at a very young age and she was encouraged to pursue a formal education in Art and Art History. She was the recipient of a Fine Arts scholarship to the University of Miami and continued her studies at Barry College.
Ms. Sierra also became a successful entrepreneur in the graphic arts industry in her early 20's. She expanded her knowledge in this field at Florida Career Institute where she obtained a degree in Commercial Art. Her accomplishments in the graphic arts world earned her a respectable commission in 1989 from Carnival Cruise Lines to create a kinetic sculpture for their flagship hotel, the Crystal Palace Hotel and Casino in Nassau, Bahamas.
By the 1990's, Ms. Sierra's work had been featured in several galleries throughout the United States including the Latin American Art Museum in Miami, Florida. Today, her works are part of private collections in the Caribbean; Central and South America; Mexico; Eastern and Western Europe; Canada; and, the United States.
Ms. Sierra is a philanthropist who dedicates her time and contributes her artwork to numerous local and national non-profit associations. She was recently selected by the renowned publishing house, Hought Mifflin, to include her celebrated folkloric painting, "Guajiro Verde", in one of their upcoming Spanish textbooks. Also, during the present year, The Business Journal for Hispanic Research selected several of her pieces for their premiere issue published in June of 2007.
Ms. Sierra has an uncanny ability to establish a dialogue with each individual observing her artwork. Her intuitive expressionism awakens emotions within the beholder of the nurturing love, pain, freedom, immortality and hope that lie within us. Through her work, Dania allows the viewer into her own private realm, into her soul, leaving us with a deep sense of intimacy with the painter and one self.
Ms. Sierra's brilliant execution of color and design has earned her the respect and admiration of collectors and colleagues. Her artwork portrays the artist's quiet, gentle nature by silently enticing us with a colorful embrace that impales our subconscious repeatedly.

Dania Sierra nació en La Habana, Cuba y llegó al exilio en los Estados Unidos con su familia en 1962.
La Srta. Sierra demostro su interés en los artes plásticos a una temprana edad y su familia le apoyó para que formalizara sus estudios de arte desde muy joven. Dania recibió una beca para ingresar en la Universidad de Miami en el departamento de Bellas Artes y continuo sus estudios en Barry College.
Dania se estableció exitosamente en la arena de artes graficas al principio de la decada de 1990. Hoy dia, sus obras de arte forman parte de colecciones privadas y galerias a nivel internacional. Estimada por ser una generosa benefactora, ella contribuye sus obras de arte a numerosas asociaciones y organizaciones no lucrativas. Sus obras han sido incluidas y publicadas por casas editoriales de gran prestigio como Hought Mifflin, y representadas en la primera edición internacional del Diario de Investigación de Negocios Hispanos ("The Business Journal for Hispanic Research") publicado en el 2007.
Dania posée la abilidad única de crear un diálogo con cada individuo que admira sus obras. La ejecución brillante de sus diseños y color ha logrado el merecido respeto y la admiración de sus colegas y coleccionistas.
